Organization History

Our place, Gangseo,
is the origin of Gaya civilization with long history
and was the foundation base of Garakguk nation.

As the history has been going along,
the name of the place has been changed into
Geumkwangun, Gimhaesogyeong, Gimhaebu, Geumjugun,
Geumjuhyeon, Gimhae Dohobu, and Gimhaegun etc.

After the ear of Busan begun as included in Bukgu, Busan in 1978, we became the self governing area while expanding our place by including Garak, Noksan and Cheongamyeon additionally on Jan. 1, 1989. As the new office with up to date facilities was opened on Jun. 9, 2000, we have pursued to develop our place into the globally top level city as the leader of new millenium new Busan period.
